Amy Estes joined Bard Graduate Center in 2018 after 20 years of experience as a producer and marketer of theatre and other arts events. She ran her own Off-Broadway company, Marvell Repertory Theatre, from 2010 to 2014, and was director of marketing and media for Peak Performances at Montclair State University, developing audience for works by contemporary artists ranging from Robert Whitman to Romeo Castellucci, William Bolcom to Julia Wolfe, Robert Wilson to Bill T. Jones. In addition, she has taught theatre and arts administration at Baruch College and Montclair State University and developmental writing at Bloomfield College. She studied theatre and creative writing at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, holds an AB in cognitive science and French from Vassar College, and an MFA in theatre management from the University of Alabama.
