Aline Kedma Araujo Alves is a Brazilian designer and researcher focused on design history, material culture, and gender studies. She holds a PhD in design theory and history from the Postgraduate Program in Design at the University of São Paulo, which included a visiting research period at the University of Antwerp and KU Leuven, Belgium (2024). She also holds a master’s degree in visual arts from the School of Fine Arts at the Federal University of Bahia (2019), with multidisciplinary research titled “Decoration and Gender: The Historical Construction of a Feminine Place through Early Twentieth-Century Brazilian Periodicals,” focusing on the history of interior design, gender studies, and the history of the press. Additionally, she holds a specialization in higher education methodology and teaching (2018) and a bachelor’s degree in interior design from UFBA (2015).
