Intensive exploration of the cultural history of the material world is carried out through faculty-driven institutional projects. Projects emerge from course work, extend personal research, or connect to existing institutional work, such as exhibitions. Other projects reach out to the wider academic community and reflect the desire to transform whole fields of knowledge.
