The Research Forum is the magazine-like section of this website devoted to the research life of Bard Graduate Center. Features will include original scholarship, interviews, comment and publishing of REvisions, collections of previously published research materials, whether in print or video, assembled and regrouped in new ways to highlight otherwise latent dimensions of Bard Graduate Center’s ongoing research priorities. Regular listings will include ongoing institutional research projects, collaborations with other institutions, and fellowship news.
In this inaugural issue, features are devoted to publishing and programming. Daniel Lee, Director of Publishing, talks about “Cultural Histories of the Material World,” Bard Graduate Center’s monograph series. The occasion for this look back is publication of the seventh book in the series, Karl Schlögel’s, In Space We Read Time. Emily Reilly, Director of Public Programming and a dramaturg and artistic producer who has worked on theater productions and installations in the U.S. and Europe, discusses a new initiative in bringing artist research into the conversation with academic research at Bard Graduate Center. Finally, we publish here REvisions 1 and 2, devoted to “ The Decorative and the Antique,” and “Conservation Conversations,” respectively.
