Hailing from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Abigail Kosnik is an archaeologist with particular interest in museum displays of archaeological materials. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology in 2024, and has worked on projects ranging from Roman North Africa to pre-colonization Hawai’i. Her academic interests lie in state and identity formation in the ancient world, the mobilization of ancient material culture by modern imperialist nations, and conceptions of gender and sexuality in premodern societies. At Bard Graduate Center, she has worked with the Public Humanities and Research department, reinvigorating her goal of bridging the gap between academia and the public.
