Yaerim Hyun is an MA student at the Bard Graduate Center, where research focuses on Korean fiber artists. Academic interests include design, material culture, and architecture in twentieth-century East Asia. Hyun previously earned a master’s thesis from Ewha Womans University in Korea, focusing on Japanese war ceramics distributed in Korea and Japan during the early 1900s. Hyun also has extensive curatorial experience from the National Museum of Korea, the Denver Art Museum, the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, and the Seoul Museum of History.
