Lyudmyla Smakova is a lecturer at the Glass Art Department of the Lviv National Academy of Arts, Ukraine, and a doctoral researcher. Her academic interests include glass art, the international studio glass movement, creativity theories, and the study of artistic personalities, with a focus on research methodologies in art studies. As a Fulbright scholar, she is conducting the project Bridging Utility and Creativity in Professional Glass Art Education. She has participated in more than fifteen international conferences and is a co-organizer of the International Blown Glass Symposium in Lviv. In addition, Smakova serves as an expert in the accreditation of higher education programs for the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance of Ukraine. Her broader professional interests include strategic development in art education, curatorship, and art management.
