Lindsay Smilow is Chief Advancement Officer at Bard Graduate Center, where she drives development strategy and implementation. She works closely with the BGC Board and leadership team to advance the institutional mission through major gifts, foundation partnerships, alumni engagement, and innovative donor initiatives. Before joining BGC, Lindsay held leadership roles at the American Institute of Architects, the New York Foundation for the Arts, and Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts. She has taught at Brooklyn College and the Maryland Institute College of Art, and earned her M.A. in Art History from Brooklyn College. Earlier in her career, she spent a decade in museum education at the Queens Museum and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, where she created programs that brought art to life for students, families, and lifelong learners alike. Lindsay is passionate about building communities of support that celebrate scholarship, spark creativity, and expand access to the arts—always with a collaborative and mission-driven approach.
