Ema Furusho earned a BFA with a concentration in photography and sculpture at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. She was born and raised in Queens and developed an interest in educational arts spaces through her involvement as a teaching assistant at the Queens Council on the Arts. Ema has experience in visitor-facing roles at various galleries and art fairs including the Miller Institute of Contemporary Art and Silver Eye Center for Photography, which has led her to her current position at BGC’s Gallery.
