 rly Publishing Beyond the Printed Page.”Digital humanities scholars have l
 ong experimented with modes of scholarship\nthat move beyond the printed p
 age into interactive forms of expression and\ncommunication. This presenta
 tion will explore two such projects—the Debates in\nthe Digital Humanities
  book series and the Manifold publishing platform—that\nmake use of digita
 l affordances while retaining the benefits of print\npublication. From com
 position to peer review to publication\, these\nprojects foster networked\
 , iterative scholarship that advance scholarly ideas\nin public venues and
  that encourage interaction with non-academic audiences.\n\nMatthew K. Gol
 d is\nAssociate Professor of English and Digital Humanities at the Graduat
 e Center of\nthe City University of New York (CUNY)\, where he holds teach
 ing appointments in\nthe PhD Program in English\, the Master’s Programs in
  Digital Humanities\,\nData Analysis and Visualization\, and Liberal Studi
 es\, and the doctoral\ncertificate programs in Interactive Technology and 
 Pedagogy and American\nStudies. He serves as Advisor to the Provost for Di
 gital Initiatives\, Director\nof the CUNY Academic Commons\, Director of t
 he GC Digital Scholarship Lab\, and\nDirector of the MA Program in Digital
  Humanities and the MS Program in Data\nAnalysis and Visualization. He is 
 co-editor (with Lauren F. Klein) of\nthe Debates in the Digital Humanities
  book series. His\ncollaborative digital humanities projects include Manif
 old Scholarship\n(with Doug Armato)\, Looking for Whitman\, Commons In A B
 ox\, Social Paper\n(with Erin Glass)\, and DH Box (with Stephen Zweibel). 
 He is President of the\nAssociation for Computers and the Humanities\, the
  major DH scholarly society in\nthe United States.
