Children of all ages will make simple books and explore ancient techniques where weaving meets books. Recycle/reuse/up-cycle everyday and unusual paper samples into weavings and book covers—draw, collage, create, and have fun.

From age 6 to 12 and beyond.

Esther K Smith wrote and designed How to Make Books and Making Books with Kids and other book arts books. As artistic director at Purgatory Pie Press, she collaborates with letterpress printer Dikko Faust and other artists and writers making limited editions and artist books. Their works are collected by museums and rare books libraries including the Metropolitan Museum, MoMA, the Cooper Hewitt, London’s V&A and Tate museums.
