“I am a doctoral candidate in the Department of Art History at the University of Delaware. I am now based in Chicago, working on my dissertation, which is an architectural history of outdoor advertising in twentieth-century America. The BGC was pivotal in shaping how I think about buildings and objects, especially the rich dialogues possible when looking at them together. At the BGC I was able to explore a range of interests in architecture, design, graphic design, and material culture, which has fueled my academic work. The experience of learning in such a small, focused community, who all share similar enthusiasms for studying objects as a way of knowing the world, was fundamental for me.” Craig Lee, MA (2012)
