Enter the world of sophisticated form and function, two hallmarks of Swedish and Scandinavian design. In this program, Judith Gura and Erica L. Warren discuss the development of Scandinavian interior settings in the historical context. We gain insight into how Scandinavian design has become such an important influence in the design of home furnishings and design today.


Judith Gura is a specialist in the history of interiors and furnishings with a focus on Scandinavian furniture.

Erica L. Warren
teaches the History of Modern Design at Drexel University and the History of Modern Crafts and Design at the Tyler School of Art. In addition to her teaching, Erica is a research assistant at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where she works on a variety of projects related to modern and contemporary decorative arts and crafts.
