 to complement the formal interiors of\nthe Anglo-Palladian mansions\, town
 houses\, and villas that he designed. In this\nlecture\, Susan Weber will 
 examine Kent’s career as one of the earliest British\narchitects to focus 
 on every element of an interior\, from tables and chairs to\nchimney piece
 s\, doorways\, windows\, and ceilings. She will explore the various\nsourc
 es that resulted in an original and eclectic approach to furniture which\n
 has been described as “a subdued Georgian baroque.”Susan Weber\, founder a
 nd director of the Bard Graduate\nCenter\, is co-curator of the William Ke
 nt exhibition and editor of the\naccompanying catalogue.
