 ollection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art including: Tudor flat caps\, a
 \nstraw hat purported to be a gift from Henry VIII\, and hats by Philip Tr
 eacy.\nTextile conservator Chris Paulocik will discuss the conservation an
 d storage of\nthese unique objects. After lunch at the BGC\, artist and te
 xtile historian\nEdward Maeder will demonstrate the construction of select
 ed hats from the\neighteenth through twentieth centtury. Participants will
  learn stitching\ntechniques using straw\, ribbons\, floral decoration and
  feathers.\n\nChris Paulocik is a textile conservator at the\nMetropolitan
  Museum of Art.\nEdward Maeder is an artist\, textile historian\, and form
