DESCRIPTION:This study day will focus on the materials and methods of\nprod
 ucing cloisonné with special emphasis on its enduring presence in contempo
 rary\njewelry. After an exhibition tour by Rebecca Allan\, Jamie Bennett w
 ill discuss\nthe influence of his trips to Italy\, Turkey\, and Morocco an
 d demonstrate how he\nworks. After lunch\, Jeannine Falino will lecture on
  different aspects of enamel\nincluding cloisonné in 20th-century American
  metalwork and jewelry. The day\nwill conclude with a visit to the Jewelry
  Arts Institute on Manhattan’s Upper\nWest Side.\n\nJamie Bennett is an in
 ternationally recognized artist whose\nwork is represented in the Musée de
 s Arts décoratifs\, Paris\, among other\ncollections. He is a professor of
  art at the State University of New York at New\nPaltz.\n\nJeanette Caines
  is a jewelry artist and vice president of\nthe Jewelry Arts Institute.\n

 k\, and the former Carolyn and Peter Lynch Curator\, Art of the\nAmericas\
