DESCRIPTION:Peter Cole and Peter N. Miller will be giving a gallery talk on
  Thursday\, October 29 at 6pm titled 'Inventory and the Poetry of Things.'
 Peter Cole and Peter Miller talk about the poetry in-and\nof-the things of
  daily life\, such as the objects in Margrieta's inventory or\nthose menti
 oned in letters of medieval Jewish traders found in the Cairo\nGeniza\, wh
 ich Cole shaped into a long and fascinating poem\, 'Things on\nWhich I've 
 Stumbled\,' from which he will read excerpts.The gallery talk\nwill be fol
 lowed by an exhibition viewing and reception. Peter Cole is a poet\,\ntran
 slator\, and author of three books of poetry: Rift\, Hymns & Qualms and\nT
 hings on Which I've Stumbled. He is a 2007 MacArthur Fellow and publisher 
 of\nIbis Editions in Jerusalem. Peter N. Miller is dean and chair of acade
 mic\nprograms at the Bard Graduate Center.
