DESCRIPTION:Explore how to use drawings to understand and transform one’s w
 orld. We welcome creative kids into the world of medieval revivalist and a
 rchitect Eugène-Emmanuel Viollet-le-Duc. The tour includes three close-loo
 king and drawing exercises\, all inspired by Viollet-le-Duc’s detailed and
  imaginative drawings of castles\, cathedrals\, mountains\, and monuments.
 Caregivers and guardians are invited to observe\, explore the galleries on
  their own\, or join a tour for caregivers.Bard Graduate Center is dedicat
 ed to new research in the decorative arts\, design history\, and material 
 culture. Our exhibitions reflect the scholarly pursuits of BGC curators\, 
 faculty members\, alumni\, and students\, and they serve as the basis for 
 collaboration with colleagues at institutions elsewhere in the city and ar
 ound the world.In this spirit of collaboration and inquiry\, we encourage 
 discussion of the exhibition among individual visitors and those who parti
 cipate in our guided tours.
