 escribe objects in the exhibition\, sharing details of their form\, materi
 ality\, and aesthetic nature for the enjoyment of visitors with low vision
  and blindness. Group discussion takes place throughout the program. Regis

 is an artist\, museum educator\, and adjunct instructor in studio art. Bot
 h a figurative and abstract artist working in ink and traditional and nont
 raditional materials and processes\, she investigates perception and the f
 ormal act of making a drawing. She teaches Seeing through Drawing\, a proc
 ess-based drawing class for people with low vision and blindness for the M
 etropolitan Museum of Art\, and she has expertise in verbal description as
  an approach for accessing art. She was a panel member and workshop leader
  for the Thinking through Drawing October 2021 symposium entitled “Unlocki
 ng—Rethinking through Drawing.” In 2019\, her drawing about perception\, T
 entative Sight\, was exhibited in the Painting Center’s Patterns of Influe
 nce group show. For the 2012 NAEA conference\, she was a panelist for the 
 discussion called “Seeing through Drawing\; Touch\, Drawing\, and Mental I
 magery in People with and without Visual Impairments.” Lutz received her M
 FA from the New York Academy of Figurative Art. She lives and works betwee
 n both coasts.
