On November 1, Charles Percier: Architecture and Design in an Age of Revolutions, received the Alice Award from Furthermore grants in publishing, a program of the J. M. Kaplan Fund. Joan K. Davidson, president of Furthermore, presented the award to Nina Stritzler-Levine, Gallery director, at a ceremony held at the Strand’s Rare Book Room. The $25,000 award is given annually to a book that represents excellence in all aspects of the work, from idea to design to quality of production. This year, for the first time, each book on the short list was also awarded $5,000. Read the announcement here.
