It has been a busy fall for alumni activities. Events in Boston included a lunch and dinner at which some some fifteen alumni gathered. At Bard Graduate Center, we launched this year’s Alums at Work series with a talk from Shax Riegler (MA, 2007; MPhil, 2009; PhD Candidate), who is executive editor of Architectural Digest. Sarah Archer (MA, 2006) and Brian Gallagher (MA, 1999, MPhil, 2012) were in attendance to kick off our first Alum Books’ evening— both have recently published books.

A number of alums attended a very popular WordPress workshop, led by our DML director, Jesse Merandy, and an Advanced Provenance Research workshop, led by BGC librarian Anna Helgeson. Late in October, a group of students and alums gathered for a Career Conversations panel, led by Professor Andrew Morrall, with the participation of alums Jenny Pitman (MA, 2000), Malcolm MacNeil (MA, 1997), Patrick Sheehan (MA, 2003) and Csongor Kis (MA, 2006), to talk about careers in the world of auction houses. Just before Thanksgiving a group of BGC alums from the Washington DC area will gather for a walk-through and luncheon at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, led by Colin Fanning (MA, 2013). The Bard Graduate Center network is alive and well!
