The Bard Graduate Center Library subscribes to more than 250 periodicals and provides access to numerous subscription databases, periodical indexes, image resources, and other online research tools.

Our non-circulating collection of 50,000 volumes, including monographs, bound periodicals, rare books, microforms, and videos, fosters advanced studies in the decorative arts, design history, and material culture. We also hold archival copies of all masters theses and doctoral dissertations completed at the BGC.

The BGC’s Visual Media Resources Department (VMR) maintains the teaching collection of slides while also actively building, in collaboration with the Visual Resources Department at Bard College, a collection of digital images that are made available to faculty and students via ARTstor's Shared Shelf.
