Open Houses for Seniors, for adults age 65 and older, are part of the BGC's initiative to serve our elders by offering a variety of programs that will entice, enlighten, and involve them in our endeavors. Begun in 1995, these highly successful programs serve hundreds of people every year and our exhibitions have become a favorite destination for the senior adult community. Attendees come from the Upper West Side as well as other city neighborhoods and surrounding areas. Among the many organizations that have sent groups are DOROT, Goddard Riverside Community Center, Hamilton Senior Center, Inwood Senior Center, JASA, Lenox Hill Senior Center, Stuyvesant Senior Center, and Yorkville Lunch Club. Open Houses for Seniors are generously supported by The Rudin Foundation.
Separate visits by senior groups outside of the regularly scheduled Open Houses for Seniors are welcome, and may be arranged by request.
