The course will examine the augmentation of reflective materials from the conquest of Salerno by Robert Guiscard to the coronation of Fredrick II Hohenstaufen. The study of these materials will serve as a means for understanding the cultural, scientific and political developments in the Italian Peninsula between the 11th and 13th centuries. 3 credits.
