Admissions

I hope you will find the information we provide in this catalogue to be of use as you begin the process of applying to our institute. Please know that you are very welcome to contact the Academic Programs Office at any point if you should have questions. Feel free to e-mail me directly at simon@bgc.bard.edu. Please review all of the information in these next pages carefully.

I also encourage you to attend one of our open houses, at which members of the faculty and staff are available to answer questions, lead tours of our building, and talk about financial aid and admission procedures. The fall 2009 dates are Monday, October 26, 6:00 pm– 8:00 pm, Monday, November 16, 6:00 pm– 8:00 pm,  and Sunday, December 6. 11:00 am–1:00 pm. All events will be held at 38 West 86th Street. For more information, please call 212.501.3019 to confirm the date and make a reservation.

Choosing a graduate school is a serious matter, but the process of admission should never be an ordeal. Please feel comfortable asking me any questions you may have as you go through the process.

The BGC hosts an Admitted Students Day each March. Accepted students are welcome to join us for a full day of information and classes and to meet BGC faculty and current students.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Warm wishes,

Elena Pinto Simon

Dean of Academic Administration and Student Affairs
