- Please place large briefcases, coats and umbrellas in the coat closet located on the first
floor of the building, across from the elevator.
- No food or drink (including water) is permitted.

- Only pencils (or laptops) may be used for taking notes. Pens are not allowed.
- Respect the library materials. Paper clips, pencils, Post-It Notes and bulky items should not be
placed on or inside the text. Please refrain from placing unnecessary strain on library materials; do
not stack open books to hold places in text and do not mark books in any way. Corners should not be turned down to mark places in text.
- Use book cradles and weights provided to hold books open.
- Please do not reshelve books: they may be left on a shelving cart after use, except for reserve materials (see below).
- Any damage to BGC materials by a library visitor is the responsibility of the visitor.
Photocopying

staff if any copier problems arise (including low toner, etc.).
- The cover and pages of a book should be supported while the book is being photocopied.
- Oversized, tightly bound, or brittle materials should not be photocopied. (If you have any doubt
about whether a book should be photocopied, ask a library staff member.)

so its ring does not disturb other readers. If you get a call, please leave the library.

faculty office, etc.), please remove the card and ask staff for assistance. All reserve books (in
order by class number and in random order on the shelf) must be reshelved after use. Each class has
a distinctive sticker color. The Library cannot guarantee that every book needed will be available
for immediate use.
