Faculty/staff Information > bibliographic instruction

BGC Librarians are available for bibliographic instruction (a.k.a. Information Literacy) both by appointment for one-on-one assistance using a particular database, researching a topic, tracking down something specific, or for help with any other library or research-related issue. Formal workshops are offered each semester, and faculty and staff are welcome and encouraged to attend to learn about the latest library resources and how to use them. Librarians are also available for in-class instruction in conjunction with a specific course assignment or for general library orientations.

For more information on information literacy in academic libraries, see the Association of College & Research Libraries’ website at: http://www.ala.org/ala/acrl/acrlissues/acrlinfolit/informationliteracy.htm.
