Description

In this gallery talk, curator Michele Majer explores how actresses in the late 19th and early 20th centu­ries became key figures in the international cult of celebrity that developed with the rise of mass media and consumerism.

Michele Majer is an assistant professor at BGC and research associate at Cora Ginsburg, LLC, New York City.
