| The Bard Graduate Center for Studies in the Decorative Arts, Design, and Culture annually organizes two to three exhibitions devoted to diverse issues relevant to the decorative arts and related fields. The primary mission of the exhibitions is to enhance scholarship and promote public awareness of the decorative arts, design, and culture by examining Western and non-
Western subjects from the ancient world to the present. This educational initiative is achieved through the interpretation of objects from an interdisciplinary perspective and the publication of fully-illustrated scholarly catalogues. A range of seminars and public programs as well as gallery tours are also organized in conjunction with each exhibition.
