2pm Concert (Reception to follow)

The Nouveau Classical Project, a fashion-minded hybrid ensemble and production hub, will perform a concert featuring an eclectic selection of music. Highlights include “Chrysalis” by Sarah Kirkland Snider and John Cage’s “Aria,” a piece that parallels the exhibition’s silhouettes through its use of multiple voices. The ensemble will wear music-inspired fashion designed by Jenny Lai’s experimental womenswear brand NOT.

Nouveau Classical Project (Amanda Gregory, soprano; Marina Kifferstein, violin; Kivie Cahn-Lipman, cello; Sugar Vendil, piano) received a 2011 JFund commission from the American Composers Forum.
