Application for financial assistance is made annually. The BGC’s final deadline for submission of financial aid applications is February 1 for both new and returning students. Those applying on or before the deadline receive full consideration. Students whose admission and financial aid applications are complete by February 1 will be notified of financial aid awards by mid-April. Eligibility for financial aid is determined each year by the demonstration of financial need. Financial need is assessed by a uniform method from financial data provided by the student on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA form should be sent to the federal processor as soon after January 1 as possible and no later than January 16. The BGC’s FAFSA number is 002671. It is crucial for applicants to submit their FAFSA on time. Late FAFSA applicants cannot be considered for financial aid.

A student applying for financial aid must not be in default of a federal student loan or owe a refund on a federal grant. The application is available online (www.fafsa.ed.gov), and applicants are encouraged to apply electronically.
